I've always been curious about this, and the recent articles about companies buying from others and putting their name on it has convinced me to post. So, who really make some of this stuff. For instance, on my internal drive (a500) is an Epson label while a friend told me he heard Commodore's drives were Toshiba's. Further, I would bet a small, unspec'd sum that my 1084 is a Magnavox. (I think I heard that this is so.) But what about the new monitors? Still Magnavox, or did Commodore find a better supplier. What about the new hard drive for the 500? Does anybody know where it comes from? I know this sort of thing is no big secret, but companies don't seem to like to say where they buy the stuff. So, would Commodore care to comment?
