Hello all... I realize that this is a bit out of date, but I downloaded the DNET 2.0 binary distribution that appeared in comp.binaries.amiga around 9-JUN-89, and just got around to unpacking it today, only to find that parts 1 and 3 were INCOMPLETE -- instead of ending with typical "end of shell archive messages, etc., they just cut off abruptly in the midst of UUencoded data. I re-checked the copy saved, "directly from Usenet," here on Portal, and found that the problem is NOT ME -- the copy HERE is incomplete! I am not an everyday reader of this newsgroup (I can't keep up with the volume), so may have missed something about a possible "fix" or "repost" of those parts; I have also attempted to send mail to Bob Page, the apparent moderator/distributor (I'm not a regular in .binaries, either) of the binaries area, asking him about this, but am posting here in case there is some sort of Net "kibosh" on writing IN to a moderator/distributor... If anyone can give me any information about getting a GOOD copy of parts 1 and 3 (or the whole distribution again, if it needs to be repackaged from unpacked form), or has also experienced the problem, or has SOLVED the problem or can otherwise get me up and going with the Amiga side of DNET 2.0, I'd be very happy. (Note - I can obtain SOURCES for this stuff from other machines, but cannot compile them as I do not have the "required" AZTEC C -- just a real outdated (soon to be corrected) version of Lattice. Need the BINARY distribution!) E-mail please, or I'll never find it in this flood! Chris Chiesa Chris_F_Chiesa@cup.portal.com a.k.a cfchiesa@bsu-cs.bsu.edu
