From ComputerWorld: Apple Computer, Inc's pledge last month to ship its next-generation Macintosh operating system in 1990 did not tell the whole story. Company officials acknowleged last week tgat tget wiul not be able to deliver everything originally sketched out to users and developers. While declining to specify what eould be missing from system 7.0 of the Macintosh operating system, Apple Director of Sysem Software Jim Davis said, "All these things are up in the air. We expect 70% to 80% of what we announced to make it." System 7.0 has been hailed widely by Mac enthusiasts as a breakthrough.
