I have an A500, Supra SCSI controller, Adaptec 4000A and ST506 drives. I just got an Archive SCSI streaming tape. I want to write a generic tape driver so that anyone will be able to use it with any tape drive. That is a long range goal. Right now I would just like to be able to read/write to/from the drive. Has anyone been able to use the structures and methods shown in the scsidisk.h include file? I also have code I wrote for an I*M PC implementation for a SCSI tape drive. That code manipulates the NCR5380 chip directly and I wouldn't mind just doing that just to see if everything is working correctly. If anyone could point me in the right direction for implementing a device driver or just help in programming the Supra for generic use, your help would be greatly appreciated. No I haven't called Supra yet, but that is on my list. Please email any replies, Steve
