I am using WordPerfect (Version 4.1 on an Amiga 500) and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong when trying to add words to the dictionary. When I "spell" a document, typing 2 or clicking on "ADD WORD" seems to have no effect. Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug? Do I have to edit the accepted spelling list? If so, what's the "ADD WORD" menu option supposed to do? Kevin

"ADD WORD" seems to have no effect. Your added words go into a "sup.wp" (sup for supplementary, I guess) file. Sup.wp goes into the SPELL: (?) directory by default, although you can configure WP to put it in any directory you want. (I put the spelling dictionary "lex.wp" on the WP disk & configured the program to look for both lex.wp and sup.wp on that disk.) This stuff is in the manual, by the by. Look under "Configuration."
