Pardon the post... I could not get through to Kevin via mail.. Kevin, Yes, my find uses an updatedb to set up the file. Hope you can get through in mail. check out the signature at the bottom... the lphillips@lpami.wimsey.bc.ca should do the trick, since it's fully qualified as to domain name. If not, try the 76703.4322@compuserve.com which will reach my mailbox on Compuserve. While you're at it, perhaps you could tell me if you have any files with 'strange' characters in them, like any of the Amiga wildcard characters, asterisks, etc. I did test with spaces in directory names and filenames (had to make a few to do it tho).
