[comp.sys.amiga] NEC Multisync II Problem

wizard@accsys.UUCP (Christoph Brand) (08/04/89)

I've got a strange problem with my NEC Multisync II.
When I try to connect it with my Amiga via the pins horizontal and
vertical sync, the computer does not boot up. When I do it via
composite sync, everything works fine.
Can anybody explain this?

Then there's another problem with MandelVRoom2.0.
I don't know whether it's a bug, but the "Save ILBM" does not work
properly. I've got a 2000B Rev 6.? with the 2620 and a 2090A controller.
When I try to save, the system shuts down in quite a strange way: The
monitor goes off and nothing happens anymore. Sometimes I'm not even
able to reboot anymore, then I have to switch off the computer.
Since the behaviour of the monitor looks very much the same like if it's
connected via horiz. and vert. sync (black screen, high noise to be
heard), I thought there might be some relation.
When I save the pictures with Grabbit, everything works fine; also, this
problem occurs only with MandelVRoom2.0, not with any paint-software.
