I've just received a copy of QEd. This editor is one of the best I've ever seen, I'd pay for the registration at once if there wouldn't be that litte bug..... QEd controls the keymap directly, that means: The keys with the [,],/,*,+ on the right block of the keyboard are not supported by the program. For me as a C programmer (even if not a good one, though :-) this is very bad, and since I didn't figure out yet how to use KeyMapEd correctly (how do the \x-numbers work? They're obviously not hex-ascii-codes) I'd have to use alt-\374 or even alt-shift-\374 on my swiss german keyboard to produce the [ resp. the {. This makes the editor more or less uninteresting (sigh) for me. Does anybody knows a patch or another trick to fix QEd? Maybe the author himself, Darren M. Greenwald, reads this.
