What ever happened to the transputer board that was talked about a
while ago? I beleive someone posted one of the "Technology Previews"
sometime last year talking about it. It's been a while, and I've heard
absolutely nothing about it since. Does the project still exist? It
sounded pretty powerful......
Also: I've seen the list of 'officially' announced new products that's
floating around the BBS's from DevCon, and I noticed that the hi-res graphics
board and the genlock/framegrabber devices that have been talked about were
not on it. Why not? To my understanding, these have both been displayed
at shows for quite a while now, but CBM has no plans to market them at present
(maybe never!).... it seems to me Ami needs these (esp. the graphics card)
to be able to keep up with (or stay ahead of) its competition.
I've heard a few rumors about 3rd party hi-res graphics boards under
development....anybody know anything about 'em?
