[comp.sys.amiga] Grounded PAL chips on A1000

Well my new hard disk controller (XETEC fasttrack) doesn't like to be on the
buss at the same time as my Starboard II. It gurus randomly with random
guru #'s. It usually doesn't bother with a requester but gurus all the way
back to rebooting kickstart. I would like to ground my PAL chips on the
daughter board but I'm not sure which pin to ground. I would be very pleased
if someone would email me which pins to ground and where to ground it to.
Also, I am building a buss terminator and I don't know where to get the +5
volts from. Are people getting this off the expansion buss (preferable) or
providing a power supply (drag). Thanks in advance.

p.s. I love my XETEC controller and Q40S drive. They are very fast and work
extremely well. All those earlier warnings about file corruption are cured
by setting the Max transfer at 128K when setting up the partitions (XETEC
controllers don't need mountlists since they are automatically mounted). If
anybody thinks this is a kludge I would like to remind them that other
controllers do this with much smaller max transfer sizes. I believe the
Supra is 64K for example. All in all a very nice system for my A1000.
