[I don't believe in the line-eater!]
Anybody out there in net-land know the legal ramifications of
using Apple's 128K MAC ROMS in AMAX? Such as, can a dealer
who purchases and AMAX put the ROMS in it and then sell it
to a customer? Is using these ROMS a violation of any of
Apple's copyrights? Does buying these ROMS entitle you to
use them as you see fit as long as the ROMS are not copied?
From whom can you buy the ROMS? Is it legal to buy them
from a second source?
I would appreciate as rapid a reply as possible to these
questions as the company for which I work has had a purchase
order for the AMAX and ROMS squashed due to a question over
the legalilty of using it. A definitive answer on this
question would be appreciated. If it's already been beat to
death on the net and I happened to miss it, would someone
please mail me the answers? I'll post the results if I get
enough answers...
