I've been finding out some things about FG256 and FG that I didn't know. For instance, FG256 does NOT do real time color images. It will only do grey scale stuff. It will, however, display and capture an interlaced screen in 256 shades of grey in 1/30 of a sec. It does some other things like display up to 16 images. The hardware box has got 4 RCA jacks to hook up to 4 video sources. The four sources can be sampled on the screen. The reason that I inquired into the FG256 was because places have been telling me that when the FG256 comes out, it will sell for exactly the same price as FG. PP&S says that they are waiting for the power supplies to come in and then they will start shipping. The FG256 also does some other things that I haven't mentioned. Does anybody know of other differences between these two or advantages of one over the other? I am considering buying FG, but will wait if something better is going to come along... -jim banas jbanas@ariel.unm.edu
