Y zit that when you check the amout of chip memory available using AVAIL you get one answer for the A1000 (max=515xxx) and a different answer for the A2000 (max=523xxx)? I assume that this difference is real and that you do have about 8k more chip ram available on the A2000. Is this true?

No manual has ever stated that Chip ram will always end at 512K or
1024K. No manual has ever stated that Chip ram will begin at memory
location 0. No manual has ever stated that there will only be one
area of Chip ram. Try the MemType() function that's listed in the
programmer's documentation. You give it an address and it tells you
what kind of memory it is.
Maybe Edwin should add this to the monthly posting?
