[net.general] Production-Quality Compiler-Compiler?

I'm wondering what's happening (or *not* happening) with the Production-Quality
Compiler-Compiler project.

Last thing I saw was an article in Computer August 1980 - is there more
up-to-date information?  Is this thing for real?  Is it going to be?
