[comp.sys.amiga] When you wish upon 1.4

raw@mcnc.org (Russell Williams) (08/24/89)

I was just trying to transfer a program tonight from one disk to
another disk, moving only the minimal number of files. Well, it turned into
a big production because the thing kept accessing everything but the kitchen
sink.
My question is this: Could some kind of background program be built
into 1.4 as part of the OS that would allow you to track what a program is
requesting? Instead of just a window saying, "Insert Disk Graphs", there
could be another window running that says "Program X is calling Library Y
on Disk Graphs". This doesn't really come up to often, but when it does it
sure is a pain.

No flames please, if this turns out to be monstrously difficult or
already implemented. I admit from the start that I know not what I ask.
