The local dealer says that they've just received some A500's with a Rev 6 motherboard. According to the dealer, the Rev 6 comes with the 1M Agnus, and 512K of RAM, but has empty sockets on board for another 512K. My question is: what expansion configurations are possible on this new motherboard? Is the A501 still useful/required? Must Chip RAM expansion be done on the motherboard, or can the A501 be used instead? If there is 1M of Chip RAM on the motherboard, is the A501 used as 512K of "half-fast" RAM at $c00000? Is the A501 the only way to add a clock? Is the 1M Chip RAM expansion any easier (jumper changes instead of trace cutting)? The dealer seemed a bit confused about the expansion possibilities, or any other changes that might have been made, so any info from George Robbins, or anyone else in the know would be appreciated.
