Help! I recently bought a Toshiba Double Density 3.5 drive that came out of a junked PS/2. After getting a pinout of the 34-pin *standard* connector, and the Amiga 23 (yuch) pin connector, I proceeded to hook the thing up. No go... I get power and ground ok. The drive spins up (spinning in perfect unison with drive 0 actually), and the activity led works (also in perfect unison with the one on the internal drive). Now I know this sounds like it's jumpered as drive zero, but it's not. It's jumpered as drive 1 (from 0,1,2,3). The Amiga SEL_2 is wired to _SEL 1 on the drive (Amiga is numbered 1,2,3; drive is 0,1,2) What I think might be part of the problem is that the Amiga manual says pin 9 is _SEL 0, and the Drive manual says it's Motor Enable 1, and what it says is _MTRON is Motor Enable 2 in the Drive manual. (when I say Amiga manual, I mean the schematic in the back of the Introduction to the Amiga 500, and am talking about the internal 34-pin connector.) Other obvious discrepancies? are, the Amiga intro says pin 1 is _CHNG, and the drive manual says it's Reduced Write. Also, the Amiga intro says pin 33 is _RDY and the drive manual says it's Disk Change. Any and all help on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance...
