I posted this before but got no helpful advice. I would really like
to tackel this problem as cheaply as possible.
My problem is this: When I boot up, some of my keys return incorrect
characters. The keys are e, i, n, a, and o. I will get a /, capital N,
or a NULL character. Sometime I have to reboot many times before I get
a usable machine.
Since I turn on my machine before the monitor, I usually don't know
if I get a boot up color. When I check, It's fine usually, but sometimes
I get blue, and less frequently yellow and red.
The problem started when my ex-girlfriend accadently poured a
screwdriver onto my keyboard. The left C= key stuck something feirce
for quite a while dispite the fact I cleaned it. It doesn't stick that
much and only when it gets humid. I have found no pattern to the sticking
key, the bootup color, and the keyboard problem.
Does anyone have any ideas? How much does a replacement keyboard
for a B2000 cost? What should I do?
Also, other keys are sticking, but not seriously. I just have to
hit them harder sometimes.
