I've been having a strange problem lately and was wondering if anybody has
either faced this bug before or knows anything about it.
I was working with workbench 1.2 and janus version 1 and did not have any
problems.
Recently I reformatted my Janus hard disk with the FFS according to
the article in Transactor Amiga vol 1, issue 6. I'm now running WB 1.3 and my
dealer gave me a copy of the new Janus software as well. Unfortunetly every
time I tried to do an Awrite or Aread i would guru, if I try to jlink it hangs.
So I figure the new janus software is flakey, and I reinstalled the old janus
Well you guessed it, same problem. Now I can uderstand that there might be some
bugs with Awrite and Aread and the new Janus software since those commands are
the same ones I was using before with version 1 but even version 1 of the janus
stuff doesn't work any longer. Anybody out there run into similar problems.
Any response would be greatly appreciated by me and my therapist, because this
thing is driving me nuts.
While I still got your attention, does anybody know of
a way to get workbench to boot up in 200 line interlace mode, I know it's a
small difference, but text looks so much nicer.
ps: manuals for the janus software would be nice but I guess I shouldn't ask
for too much. ;-)
