Just received Platinum Scribble, which is Version 3.00 as indicated on the Info (or is that About) menu. The file dates are 5/89. Could anyone else with Plat. Scribble or with The Works check to see if there is a higher version number or a more recent file date? I'm asking because I cannot get the autoloading Scribble!.fmt function to work. When I save the new Scribble!.fmt, the program does not recognize the changes. If I load a different format file, it works. It's just the autoload function that is failing. I've checked my manual carefully and I'm especially puzzled since this function worked pefectly in Scribble 2.0. It also doesn't seem like something that could get out the door wrong (it was the very first feature I checked). So if anyone knows of a newer version than 3.00, I'd appreciate hearing of it. Yes, I'm going to call MSS, but they probably don't have my reg. card yet and they make it clear they don't want to be bothered until you are an officially registered user. Thanks! Use the name "Default.fmt" to save the default format for Scribble! 3.0. With all 3.0 products, MSS changed the format of the autoload name. Instead of being (programname).ext, as it used to be, it's now Default.ext. Is is true of Works modules, Online 3.0, and Scribble 3.0. John P.S If you use Online, it's up to 3.03 now. Lotsa bugs fixed. It's pretty stable now, and I like it's features. 'Sides, I ignore Marco, as he tends to rag about anything he hasn't done B-> John -- 0-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-> All disclaimers apply; I didn't write this <-=-=-=-=-=-0 | ----------------------|------------------- | | "I want a New Duck | John Mesiavech | | One that won't try to bite | net.soldier.of.fortune | | One that won't chew a hole in my socks | {backbone}!gryphon!jdm | | One that won't Quack all night" | Go Purdue! Let's see how long it takes them to add XPR).
