Greetings to the omnipotent line eater...;-) First, a question. - When using Deluxe Music Con(DE)struction Set, if there are too many instruments in the instrument drawer, when you try to load an instrument, the file requister pops up, and lines of strange H's start filling the box (slowly) and the only way out is to reboot the machine. (sort of like the old bug in DPaint II with the font drawer). Does anyone know if they fixed this in a new version? It also crashed if too many songs were in the music drawer, but those can be placed into subdirectories, and then the preferred subdirectory chosen. I tried making subdirectories in the instrument drawer ( ie. guiters, keyboards, etc) thinking that it would search the instrument directory as well as any subdirectories in it, but no luck (entire song comes up in first voice). ANy help appreciated. Second - a bit of results from some playing around. A friend does a lot of stuff at work on AutoCad (ACAD) and wanted to try to get the ACAD files into something on the Amiga. Well, using DOS 2 DOD we were able to read the IBM disc, and transfer the file to the Amiga. Next, using a program called ACAD Translator, we were able to convert the ACAD file on the Amiga into a Sculpt-4D .scene file (the ACAD translator will translate into a number of formats - SA-4D, Turbo SIlver, and many more). Then we popped into SA-4D and read in the .scene file. It worked perfectly. This may be useful to folks that use ACAD and wish to then convert the images into nice 3-D pictures (as I understand it from him, ACAD is easier to design objects with than SA-4D, but 3-D effects on ACAD are not the greatest). I know, this is not earth shattering (or even as important as why folks do not want to abide by CBM's rules ;-)), but it may be of interest to someone.
