[ The original article describing the problem expired, sorry ] Last week someone (Dave Harris?) described a problem with the BADGE0 demos he obtained from XANTH.CS.ODU.EDU (in /amiga/badge0). He was receiving the message ``not a version 1.2 .film file''. The problem stems from my having upgraded the copy of projector on xanth to (as far as I know) the current version. Apparently Right Answer Group (makers of projector) chose not to make projector backwards compatible, so the new projector refuses to read old files. I have placed a copy of the old version of projector on xanth as /amiga/badge0/oldprojector.zoo for persons needing this (to run focus and rgb from that directory). Additionally, there is a note about this in a README.odu file, also in that directory. Also, there was some confusion about who to contact about problems with the Xanth Archives. The /README file contains the mail addresses of the maintainers of the different sections, and a general address <ftp-bugs@cs.odu.edu>. ...tad
