Hello all,
I have a SLIGHT problem, I just recently acquired 2 Megs worth of chips,
and so have taken my Amiga 1000 up to 2.5 Meg. This is NOT the problem
;-) anyway...
I decided that even though I have VD0: I wanted a RAD: also, and remembering
the example in the 1.3 enhancer manual, I set mine up the same way, now
here is the problem. I sucessfully mount VD0: and RAD: do the diskcopy,
transfer control over, then loadwb, at this point I pull the WB 1.3 diskette
and as a test do a 3-finger salute. Result: NADA the @#%@#$ thing asks for
the WB 1.3 diskette. Hmmm... I think, well maybe it is because I am
using an old version of VD0: (and as I am the maintainer of the Amiga archive
here at B.S.U.) I snag the VD0: version 5 that was just posted, read the
'readme' and notice I have to mount RAD: before VD0: (which I was NOT doing)
Now I think, "gee this will work fine now" Turn off the 1000 for >30 secs.
Reboot, transfer control, pull the WB 1.3, 3-finger salute. Result: NADA
Now, the only culprit I can think of is Arp 1.3, was there NOT some 'trick'
posted (before when I did not 'care' as I only had 1 Meg in my Amiga, 512K
chip and 512K fast in my Alegra expansion) here or in C.S.A. I keep thinking
it has something to do with the priority or somthing that the Arp Mount
does NOT do automatically...
E-mail is fine, but if you think it is of general interest, post, I DO
manage to keep up with C.S.A. and C.S.A.T :-)
Thanks for any and ALL help, this sucker has ME stumped, and I really want
a RadDisk 1.3 and VD0: at the same time.....
My setup: Amiga 1000 (no halfbrite), 2Meg fast-ram in Alegra expansion box,
Arp 1.3, KS 1.3, WB 1.3, MyMenu, Dmouse
P.S. sorry for the cross-post, I wanted everyone who might be able to help
me see this, as I remember it (maybe incorrectly... ;-) ) some sites do
NOT get the .tech group.
