Here's how I solved my problems getting WB 1.3.2 upgrade: 1. Problem - How to get the upgrade without an account on any of the networks mentioned. EASY - I gave a friend with a CI$ account 5 bucks to download the file for me and transfer it to my Amiga. He's happy and I'm happy. 2. Problem - How to get it to everyone else in town. Again, EASY. I just dropped it off at the local dealers. 3. Problem - How to notify everyone else in town it is available. Yep, you guessed it, EASY. Just dialed up the trusty user group BBS and sent a message to everyone to either get it at the local dealers or contact me and we'll set up a time to pick it up. (NOTE: I included a note that I would have posted it, but Commodore asked us not to.). I guess my point it, if you really want it, you'll find a way to get it (at least here in the US). Overseas will surely have a more difficult time of it and it would be nice if C-A found a location for them to get it from also. I went back to the ARP version.

What about mailing UUENCODED copies to specific folks who request it? I know no one knows me from Adam, but I've already had several requests. I guess another part of that problem is how do I know if whomever asks for it is not a hacker that will in turn place a virus in it and send it elsewhere? I can really see why electronic distribution causes all the questions to be raised here on UseNet and elsewhere. There has got to be an answer.[A Cheers, Dave CMSgt David K Detert, USAF MILNET: detert@lognet2.af.mil
