I apologize if someone has already mentioned this bug or if it is common knowledge to the rest of you. While testing my hard disk and C-LTD controller I ran into a apparent BUG or FEA CD command. I made the following script to fill my hard drive: ;file name is 'script', directory contains 6 megs of files makedir t copy #? t cd t execute script The program runs and creates sub-directories up to 8 levels deep, and then it quits with the following error: > 2.Software:x/x/x/x/x/x/x/x> makedir x > 2.Software:x/x/x/x/x/x/x/x> cd x > Fatal error in CD > 2.Software:x/x/x/x/x/x/x/x> why > The last command failed because object not of required type I then tried the stock WB1.3 CD command, and it worked fine. (It proceeded to create directories 50 levels deep before it ran out of room.)

Well, it probably isn't know to everyone, but I ran into it, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. >The program runs and creates sub-directories up to 8 levels deep, and then >it quits with the following error: >> Fatal error in CD >I then tried the stock WB1.3 CD command, and it worked fine. (It proceeded >to create directories 50 levels deep before it ran out of room.) I reported this bug (in ARP 1.3 CD) on bix, where Charlie Heath (cheath) said, yes, this is a bug. I don't remember what he said the cause of the bug was. I'm not going to worry about it; if I need to go more than 8 levels deep, I'll just use Commodores CD. >---------- -- Rodger Anderson (rodger@hpdml93) or(rodger%hpdml93@hplabs.hp.com)
