BTW Roland markets the identical printer as the PR-2417 Raven. Roland/Panasonic have made a good name for themselves in printers, and it looks like they have another winner here. Oh, if you can't find it in various programs' preferences, it emulates the Epson LQ-2500. I think the NEC Pinwriter (P2200?) is in the same ballpark. And then I saw a Hewlett-Packard DeskJet Plus... <sigh> Charlie_Gibbs@mindlink.UUCP "I'm cursed with hair from HELL!" -- Night Court

Okay, It looks as if I'm FINALLY gonna get that amiga I've been scrounging for for the past few years. Before I go to the WOC on saturday, I have a few questions: First: I'd get a 2000HD, but I think I'd rather have a SCSI drive than ST506. At the moment I'm looking at the Hardframe w/40 meg Quantum drive, but lately I've been hearing a lot of bad things about using the hardframe with the rev 6.0 & 6.1 motherboards. Anybody have any recommendations/suggestions/commands regarding this? What happens if I buy this setup, take it home, put it together, and discover it doesn't work? If this combination won't work, what would you recommend instead? Also, anybody have any experience with the Panasonic KXP1124 printer? I may also try to get one of these Saturday. Any other printer reccomendations in the $300-$350 range?
