Has anybody here used a program called Thinker (if I recall correctly, it should be made by Poor Person Software - love the name)? In their ad they describe it as an outline-processor incorporating some HyperText- and database-features. I haven't seen any reviews of it, but it sounds interesting. If anyone has used it I'd be most grateful if he/she would kindly send his/hers comments on it. Some questions I'd like answered: 1. In the June issue of Amazing, there was an article on ARexx. The author wrote that an ARexx-port should be in a future release of Thinker. Does the current release have an ARexx port? If so, how usable is it? 2. (I guess, this should have been my first question :-) Is it any good? My main interests are organizing references - I'd like to use some database-like functions for searching and sorting references by keywords, subjects etc. Can Thinker do such things? 3. Another important feature is its document exporting facilities. Can one export Thinker documents to word processors (Word Perfect, preferably)? Even plain ASCII-file export would be nice. I guess, these are the most important questions. Any other comments on its overall quality, customer support, etc. are most welcome. If you know any other products useful for organizing references, I'd be grateful to hear about them. Thanks in advance - Kari Sutela sutela@tucos.cs.utu.fi OR lk-kari@mammutti.utu.fi
