[comp.sys.amiga] More on Amiga 500 Disk Drive prob

After further investigation the problem with my drive seems to 
involve the small switch in the left, front of the disk slot.
(facing the slot and not the front of the A500)  Actually there
seems to be two switches; one that detects when a disk is inserted and
another that detects the read/write position.  If I push the 
read/write switch all the way down (with the A500 cover removed) as I
insert the disk then the drive thinks the disk is read/write.  If I just 
insert the disk it thinks it is read only.  Is there some adjustment that
I can make to the switch or is it just faulty?

P.S.  My disk tab position is "clicked" into place.  I'm not new
      to these disks.
