Here at the University of North Carolina I am involved in a project which uses the Troll database handler written by Anthony Wasserman, Kartin L. Kersten, and R. P. van de Riet. We need information about Troll as to (1) how is its performance when it is used on large (500 or more tuples) databases, i.e. response time, storage requirements, etc.. (2) What happens to the database in current use when the C program using Troll aborts or dies? Does the database remain locked, how badly, if at all, does the database get corrupted, etc.. Please replay by mail to mes@unc or jml@unc. If we get sufficient response for a summary, we'll post it to net.followup. As they say, thanks in advance. Mike Shaddock Matt Lennon mes@unc jml@unc
