[comp.sys.amiga] Amiga Mail : The book!

SANTAROS@UWF.BITNET (09/30/89)

Hats off to those swell guys and gals at CATS!

Although I was not able to attend the DEVCON '89, CATS has begun shipping
the note to developers unable to attend the conference.

Again I say these notes are GREAT. I love the idea of consolodating the
BEST OF AMIGA MAIL into a HUGE (200 pp+) binder ready package!

The info is now much easier to use than scanning backissues of AmigaMail.

Now for a few questions:

1) Will the other info soon be avail (1.4 stuff).

2) Hey guys if I have some ideas/concepts that could be good for an issue
who do I mail to or ask for author guidelines?

On another topic, I have notices a grand infusion of Archivial programs for
the Amiga from sources such as IBM and UNIX. With all the fuss about IFF
file formats and easy access with such, shouldn't we (CBM/DEVELOPERS/USERS)
begin to develop an IFF format for archiving files. We better do it soon
or the PeeCees will invade our beautiful IFF country! How about FORM WARP or
FORM ARCH, form ZOO2 etc.

Again hats off to CATS and type at ya later....

Question: Is this compendium available only to registered developers?
Please supply ordering information for these materials. Thanks!

I just received my latest Amigamail update that includes all the old articles,
so I have a second copy (except for 4 of the articles included in the
latest AmigaMAIL). I was thinking about dumping the old copy, but if somebody
wants it and he's willing to pay for postage, I'll agree to send it out.
I would assume mail charges would be in the $3-5 range. Please e-mail,
if interested.
