[comp.sys.amiga] MicroGNU Emacs

mwm@VIOLET.BERKELEY.EDU.UUCP (01/31/87)

No, there isn't. That's why I'm not going to post to the net.

Never mind, I'll post it anyway:

To those who don't have context, there is _no_ difference between the
microGNU that is now appearing on mod.sources, and what was on fish
disk #42. Fish just got it out a lot faster than Salzer.

Sometime in the next month, the next version (mg1b) should appear in
Fish's hands, and patch files with bug fixes (+ Atari ST support)
should go to mod.sources. If you've got bug fixes that you're not sure
I have, you should email them to me ASAP.

Could someone point me in the direction of an executable copy
of MicroGnu Emacs? I found the sources on the mail server at UUNET,
but I do not have a compiler (yet)...

Thanks loads

[I would be happy with microemacs from the extras 1.3 disk, except there
is no 'paragraph reflow', it only reflows the whole buffer to the margins.
This is kinda nasty for text editing as all paragraph indents in the whole
doco are lost. MicroGNU looks pretty neat, and does what I want (I'm
running it on a SUN). Now to get the Amiga version...]

P.S. MicroGnuEmacs variant by Mike Meyer, Mic Kaczmarczik, Bob Larson &
Dave Brower. Based on the v30 by Dave Conroy.

P.P.S. No FTP possible from here.
