I know this was discussed a few years ago but I have not seen anything since. The fan on my 2000 is going berserk. A while ago, one of the blades snapped off (don't ask) but that didn't seem to affect it (it was still its usual noisy self). However, just today when I turned it on it started making these terrible throbbing grinding noises like maybe the bearings were totally gone. They went away but just now when I turned it on, they didn't. I opened it up and determined that only when my fan was unattached it sounded fine but when attached would make that same noise. I am assuming that it is the fan so does anyone have any reccommendations? I am looking for a fan that I can use to replace my stock one that is 1) quieter and 2) quieter. Ordering info would be great. If there is any demand I will summarize for the net.
