[comp.sys.amiga] My A2000 clock just died!!!

cna@cory.Berkeley.EDU (Na Choon Piaw) (10/08/89)

ARRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

When I boot up, it sez:

Battery Backed clock not found

SetClock does the same thing... I've only had my A2000 fer 3 months, and
this happens! (Right in the middle of a demo a friend of mine, too --- he's
a convert, however. { Never stood a chance. ;-) } )

Anyway, any help would be welcome, be it hardware or software (though I am
laothed to take Amy apart and look into her innards...)

I have a utility that will reset "stuck" A500 and A2000 clocks, if anyone wants
it. Apparently something in the clock gets set to a value that makes SETCLOCK
think that the clock doesn't exist anymore. Don't ask why, just remember that
CBM did it first. :-)

Try 'setclock reset' on wb 1.3.2, this should solve the problem.
