[comp.sys.amiga] FredFish Xref & ARP ManPages

jwhitman@stl-06sima.army.mil (Jerry Whitman) (10/16/89)

Many thanks to those who responded to my query about the ARP ManPages.

Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Josh Rovero
<PROVERO@WSMR-SIMTEL20.ARMY.MIL> and Tad Guy <tadguy@cs.odu.edu> the
manpages for ARP 1.3 are at an FTP'able location. As you might guess
with Tad Guy being involved, they are at xanth.cs.odu.edu (128.82.8.1)
in the amiga directory. The path name is amiga/arp-1.3-doc.zoo.

The archive contains a separate file for each manpage. This will easily
facilitate a "help" script. The docs are very nicely done, but then this
is exactly what you would expect from the folks that gave us ARP. Another
round of applause for the ARP folks please!

Again thanks to all, this is a great group.

BTW, as a token of my appreciation to this group I have constructed a
PD X-Ref of all the programs available in the Fred Fish library through
FF250. It is alphabatized and gives version numbers where available.

It also includes all the CUCUG disks that are at UIHUB (assuming that
you can get connected). The listing is about 80K. If anyone is
interested I can zoo and uuencode it and e-mail to those who ask.

Since I update it with each release of Fish Disks would this be something
that would be of enough interest to place at an FTPable site? (zooed of
course!) If so where would be the most appropriate place?

Regards, Jerry
