Bernard Hudson (bjh@cbnewsj.ATT.COM) was having problems running Hypercard under A-MAX. I was having exactly the same problems, and solved them by: 1) getting the latest A-MAX software - just send them your disks and they will send a new version. 2) allocating 1.5 megs user memory to A-MAX. I have a 3 meg Amiga 2000 so I allocate the remaining 1.5 megs to RAM disk. 3) running Hypercard under Multifinder. These steps also seem to solve the problems I was having when formatting disks under Multifinder. ________________________ Bob Fillmore, Systems Software & Communications BITNET: FILLMORE@EMRCAN Computer Services Centre, Voice: (613) 992-2832 Energy, Mines, & Resources Canada BIX: bfillmore 588 Booth St., Ottawa, Ontario, Canada K1A 0E4

I finally got Hypercard to run with the new A-MAX software. 1. Make sure there is enough memory. Use Finder or a small MultiFinder system. 2. The MAC System boot disk must be WRITE ENABLED (unLOCKED). I had only run Hypercard on a real MAC from the hard drive. The write enabled system floppy disk is strange to someone from the Amiga relm, but is common on a MAC (e.g. Red Ryder must be run from unlocked disk). .......BJ
