I was out of town last week, and just caught up on back news from the network. I have successfully resisted (well, almost) the urge to flame at dozens of letters. I guess what bothers me the most is letters that start out: "What kind of _____ would say such a stupid thing." Come on, people, let's act civilized. When was the last time someone said something to you in person that was a little silly, and you said the above missive to them in the flesh? Are you still alive? What bothers me the second most is meta-discussions, like: "Everyone on the net has seen all the light bulb jokes." I mean, I've been on the net almost since it began, and I would much rather see old jokes than letters flaming against them. (Except for the Patty O'furniture joke, it can go). What bothers me the third most is that this letter is a meta-discussion, a fact that I expect to see in a dozen flames against me. Wm Leler - UNC Chapel Hill
