I recently purchased a GVP 2 Meg + SCSI controller board for my Amiga 2000. I believe the Hard drive I am now using is a Seagate 157N (SCSI 3.5") and have the autoboot ROMs installed as well as 1.3 kickstart. I am very pleased with the card on the whole, but since installing it I have had a couple of problems. 1. A program called GVPmem included with the controller card seems to be made to check the installed ram. There is no information included about this utility (and a few of the others) and I can't get it work anyhow. I have disabled all fast ram, tried checking smaller ranges, etc, but this program always crashes my system. Does anyone know about this utility, or can you suggest an alternative to check the added ram? 2. Since I installed the GVP autobooting hard drive, I cannot reliably run scripts from the 1.3 Shell. Most times the system will bring up a Read/Write error requestor for the SYS: partition, however, if I execute the same script everything works great. Other times the system will freeze, or guru. Could I have missed something when setting up the SYS: partition (some stack, assignment, etc). I have tried to set everything up as the 1.3 manual suggests. Could this be a bad ram chip problem? or should I get WB1.3.2? Thanks in advance. W.V.Police
