[comp.sys.amiga] HardFrame2000

paquette@cpsc.ucalgary.ca (Trevor Paquette) (04/22/89)

I just got a HardFrame 2000 a couple of days ago and I remember
hearing that Microbotics was going to come out with a newer version
of it. I was wondering if there is a way to tell if I have the older
version or the new one (if they have already released it).
(Can you tell the difference? No, I can't tell the difference.. can
you tell the difference?)

Setup:
  Amiga 2000 (rev 4.5)
  Seagate ST296N SCSI HD
  Microbotics HardFrame2000 (rev. 4.0)

I have installed the hard-drive and controller according to
instructions, but whenever I try to boot-up, the startup-sequence
hangs on BindDrivers command. I have tried RUNning BindDrivers and it
will even allow me to do a low-level format (goes thru ok, also
recognizes that it's an ST26N and unit 0). But if I try to do a prep,
through RDPrep, it always gives me a Guru (00000004).

Thanks for your help,
