[comp.sys.amiga] "Beast" WARNING

CEBELENS%CTSTATEU.BITNET@cunyvm.cuny.edu (10/16/89)

        GAME WARNING:

Shadow of the Beast - Does not work!

At the store where I work we've had EVERY COPY returned with
various problems. It is my opion that these problems are due to just
plain bad programming. Until Psygnosis fixes and re-releases this program,
AVOID at all costs. It will not work properly on any machine.

Uh...My copy of "Shadow of the Beast" works just fine on my 1000 with
a 1 Meg of RAM. It hasn't crashed once in about 30 hours of play.

Just plain bad disk duplication sounds more like it to me.

Now, if you want to talk about forcing people to sit through a minute
of music and then a long disk gronk back to demo mode - now that's plain
bad programming. Still love the game, though.

I have been playing beast for 3 weeks now, and have never had a problem.
I have not experienced any crashes of any sort. Currently I have an
A1000 with a spirit inboard (2 meg). Why does the game work fine for me,
and not for you? ( a mystery perhaps?).

I've never had any problems running 'Beast', though I can't say I've managed
to get all that far through it; I have run it dozens of times without any
glitches.
I have 1 MB of Chip RAM and 2 MB of Fast RAM.
