Hello. I am wondering what commodore is planning for the Amiga in the following areas: Memory Managment Virtual Memory Graphics Capabilities standard processors (M680x0 where x = 1, 2, 3, ...?) speed? operating systems (Unix, AmigaDos) transputers standard serial ports multi-user (more than 2) support I am sorry for my ignorance on the direction of Commodore in the above topics but I would like to find out how aggressive commodore is going to get in the near future. I think with the intro of OS/2, the market will gradually become more and more a buyers market with the developers having to fight to stay alive. I am really pleased with the machine commodore has put together four years ago and all of the enhancements it has added. I am getting a bit worried with the intro of faster, better Messy Dos machines and now a better operating system for them. It USED to be that we had ONE of the best computers all-round (excluding software availability) but I am seeing the industry standards pass the amigas capabilities. I don't think it is dead, but I do hope that Commodore will keep up and hopefully pass the rest of the industry to gain a bigger market share of the personal computer marketplace. By the way, what are the corporate objectives of Commodore-Amiga? Which area in the market are they trying to infiltrate? In the future? Thanks in advance for any comments replied to. Could you please address the comments to me (MCARTSHA@UREGINA1) as I quite often have to delete a number of issues without reading them due to lack of time. If they would be of general interest to the net, feel free to post a duplicate to it too. Shan McArthur Manager of Information Systems, Isman's Leather Shop
