I posted this to rec.games.misc, but I am afraid that not many people reading that group will know of this game. Thus, I am also posting it to comp.sys.amiga. Please note that all my future, non-Beast postings will be directed to rec.games.misc. If you want to alleviate band-width waste, please either EMAIL responses to me or post to rec.games.misc. Thanks. I just purchased Psygnosis' Shadow of the Beast for the Amiga. Great game! Killer T-shirt! The negative comments about it are justified. Now, I have a quick question. ******* MINOR SPOILERS TO FOLLOW!!!!******** When you first start the game, if you go left, you hit 2 boulders and 4 bat-like creatures, a claw-like trap hidden in the ground, and find a door in a tree trunk. If you avoid this door and continue left, you eventually hit another "large tree" (maybe 2 screen-widths left of the obvious door). Every time I try to pass this tree, a hole opens up in the ground and I fall in. I die. The game ends. I wait 45 seconds and try another approach. I have tried walking slowly, running, jumping, and a running jump, to no avail. What I thought was the best option was the running jump. But I seem to collide with the tree trunk and fall into the hole, or the hold sucks me down into it. How do I get past this obstacle?? Scott Sutherland sutherla@qtp.ufl.edu

[ Use best game hacker/BBS nerd voice here... ]
Gee, maybe you can't!! Wouldn't that be funny! Tee hee hee... :-)
[ Apply liberal :-)'s to the above ]
It's seems reasonable that that's the left most edge of that
``screen''. Something similar exists in Barbarian, too...

Don't go that far to your left. Go inside the tree (home). If you want more spoilers e-mail me at quesada@nisc.nyser.net ************************Joe****************************************
