[comp.sys.amiga] Amiga art in SF print

Some cheery trivia -

In Bruce Sterling's recent collection _Crystal_Express_
(Arkam House 1989) there's a fascinating set of illustrations
to go along with the (cyberpunk and other) SF stories.
They're done by a "self-taught computer artist and commercial
photographer" by the name of Rick Lieder, who lives in
Detroit MI (all this from the book jacket, of course.)

Well, the illustration to "Green Days in Brunei" is a couple
in a romantic posture...spilling out of the monitor of an
Amiga 1000 (p.135.) I suspect that the illustrations were
also created with the Amiga (they're B & W in this book.)
Does anyone know more about the artist and his uses of the
Amiga (as both subject and tool of creation ;^) ?)

(I would have put this into rec.arts.sf-lovers, but we don't
get that here...)
