Compuserve is probably the biggest (not to mention the most expensive) for-pay online service. Basically, its an incredibly huge BBS divided up into different forums of different interests for just about any kind of occupation or past time you can imagine. The particular conferences you'd be interested would be AMIGATECH and AMIGAARTS. Its size and coverage doesn't mean its the best thing since Paula, Denise and Agnus tho....for one thing its prohibitively expensive (don't expect to getr anything worthwhile done without spending at least $10-20 in online time), and as a result of its expanse, quite bloated and confusing at times. The Amiga conferences are good---I've run into and talked to for more than 30 seconds, Jay Miner, Khalid Aldoseri, and a few others. As far as files go, you'd probably do better to stick to the net. There isn't a whole lot there that I haven't seen on an Anon FTP site somewhere... (The above is not an endorsement or criticism of Compuserve or CIS Inc. I was merely swallowed up by them when they bought out The Source and have been on a few times to check things out) Hope that helps -----Steve --------------- OKAY@TAFS.MITRE.ORG Disclaimer:Mine....Mine minemineminemine!!!!
