I have a JVC recorder (vhs) and it is very particular about the tape I use.More specifically, I get audio dropout. The only tape that does not give me this problem is SCOTCH T120. I have tried all the top name brands. The only negative comment I can make about SCOTCH is that the fast forward and rewind are rather noisy compared to other tapes, but in the play mode, picture quality and sound are excellent. Anybody out there have any ideas why the vcr is so finicky about the type of tape? The model number is JVC HR7300U. P.S. I have cleaned the audio head, used new tapes right out of the box.
