Preliminary notice, November 1989 and December 1989 BADGE meetings.
With thanks to John Berry (author of INSIDE THE AMIGA WITH C, and instructor
at Foothill College in Los Altos, CA), a new meeting room has been secured
for BADGE (Bay Area Amiga Developers GroupE). (As an aside, Foothill College
already has some 42+ Amigas in use for coursework).
Because of earthquake damage and "this" late scheduling during the quarter,
the meeting night for BADGE must change to Monday (from the previous 3rd
Thursday).
I'm posting this message NOW so you can mark these dates and times on your
calendars:
Monday, November 13, 7:30pm-10pm
Monday, December 11, 7:30pm-10pm
The meetings will be held in the FORUM Building, room F-1, at Foothill College
in Los Altos, just off I-280 (the El Monte exit). Los Altos is just south of
Palo Alto and just north of Cupertino. I've been assured the FORUM F-1 room
has comfortable seating for 100+ and "audio/visual presentation capability" :-
)
The room is actually available from 6PM to 10PM, but ...
6PM is kinda early, AND no-one will kick us out at 10:01PM! :-)
Detailed instructions, maps, parking instructions, and agenda will be posted
as they become available. If you would like to make a presentation at the
November BADGE meeting, contact me (email address and phone numbers below).
The meeting night and time schedule "may" change beginning with the next
quarter. John Berry has been most helpful finding a new "home" for BADGE,
and Gary Starkweather has been instrumental acting as intermediary.
If the meeting night, time and location are troublesome, then these matters
can be discussed at the November meeting; we at least have several months'
breathing space to locate an alternate meeting site if necessary.
