Help! When I turned my system on this morning, it quit while I was selecting an icon. When I did a warm reboot I got the frightening message: Key 24811 already set (something about disk validation) and the requestor: retry - requestor again cancel - seemed to work all right. What does this mean? I have an A2000, a GVP 40meg Quantum hardcard, Micron 2meg expansion card, and a Supra 2400 baud modem. The only software running was standard Commodore except for the GVP autoboot rom, Dmouse1.10, and noclick3.3. (Everything except for the presence of noclick is as it has been for nearly a year.) Is this bad? Is this a hardware failure? Is there anything I should rescue with disksalv? (Like all conscientious harddrive users, I back mine up regularly - I see it was done only last Nov. 15) Pat Palmer (email: ppalmer@oddjob.uchicago.edu)
