||kpicott%alias@alias says: ||Personally I would never buy, or recommend to buy a computer from a person ||who was not technically knowledgable. The place I go to won't even hesitate ||to recommend other stores who have better quality/less expensive equipment. ||That's the attitude of someone who wants to help you in the long run instead ||of forcing the quick sale. I followed that kind of attitude when I worked for Radio Hack, a long time ago. Yeah, I know I'm supposed to be pushing RS computers, but I always asked the customer exactly what he wanted to do with his computer. If it were only for games, or as a family fun station, I would usually suggest the Atari 800 or C-64. If they wanted a large base of software, I would usually suggest they looked into the Apple II+. Only if they were interested in a business computer and basically a PC clone would I suggest the RS PC clone. Granted, I never made my commission, but I felt a whole lot more satisfied. -============================================================================- Burton Choinski choinski@env.prime.com Prime Computer, Inc.
