[comp.sys.amiga] FredFish Xref

jwhitman@stl-06sima.army.mil (Jerry Whitman) (10/25/89)

I have received several requests for the Fred Fish Xref listing. To facilitate
these requests and provide a platform for updated versions of the list it
was forwarded to Tad Guy for posting at xanth.

Tad sent me a message that it was now available for FTP at:

    xanth.cs.odu.edu (128.82.8.1) /amiga/FishXref-250.zoo

He also posted a message to the net affirming this.

To keep net traffic minimal please FTP from that site if possible. If you
do not have FTP capability I can e-mail the UUENCODEd version, but it is
over 40K.

********************** BTW! ***********************
All disk references that begin with a 'C' are the CUCUG disks which are
also on uxe.cso.uiuc.edu (128.174.5.54). I included them because they
were available on the same host as the FF disks prior to 190, and they
are another good source of Amiga PD.

I had mentioned this in my original posting, but forgot to note it in
the actual Xref listing.

Thanks for all the interest. Glad I could finally do the Amiga community
a good turn.

Regards, Jerry.

I have received many requests for the FredFish Xref but in the process
of trying to respond to the various requestors I got my left and right
hands tangled up and now I am not sure who I have responded to and
who I have not.

The current status of the FredFish Xref is:
1. The first version covers all FredFish disks through 250. It is
available in zoo'd format on xanth.cs.odu.edu (128.82.8.1) with the
pathname /amiga/FishXref-250.zoo.

2. I am updating the Xref to include 251-260. You should see this on
xanth in a few days, conditions here permitting.

3. If you do not have FTP access to xanth I can E-mail a zoo'd and
uuencoded copy to you.

If you have sent me mail requesting the Xref and you CANNOT get it via FTP
and you have not heard from me directly, then please re-send and I will
get it to you.

If you have FTP access please do not request an E-mail copy. Every 40K+
message eats up a lot of our limited message capability.

Sorry for the confusion and delay.

Regards, Jerry.
