I think Alan Watt (ittvax!swatt) has started something that should proliferate on the network. I'm refering to his collection of all knows drivers for unix systems. I think that other "expert files" should be kept by net users. Then when somebody needs to know if foo is available, they can refer to the last posting of the expert file or send a request to the maintainer of the file. Since I'm opening my mouth about this, I guess I should also be a volunteer. I will collect information on cross-compilers or assemblers available. If anybody knows of or has a cross-compiler please send mail to me including as much information as possible about: (1) The Source Machine and Operating System and Configuration (2) The Destination " " " " " " (3) Availability/Terms /* who can receive it, any cost, university discounts, how to get it (tape, arpanet, usenet), etc.*/ (4) Who to contact about it (5) Comments/Caveats I would anticipate most people would be interested in C-compilers on VAX 11/780 UNIX systems that target to various popular micro-computers such as a XENIX system or IBM-PC etc. But I will keep info on all cross-compilers or assemblers that run on a UNIX machine and target another machine.
