For those people out there who want MIDI capability without having to learn the keyboard, the Roland MT-32 can't be beat for capability and price. If you haven't seen this unit before it has: 1) 8 voice polyphony with 4 tones per voice (or in English eight different instruments each playing 4 notes) 2) built in rhythm section (PCM smapled sounds) 3) Uses Linear Arithmetic Synthesis (in English - pieces together PCM samples to create sounds) 4) Built-in digital reverb control with 4 operating modes All this in a package that can't be beat! For $450 I will include a choice of MIDI interfaces, either an internal MIDIGold by Golden Hawk Technologies for the 2000 or an external by Hypertek Silicon Springs for the 500. Both have serial passthrough, MIDI in, 3 Midi Out, and the external interface has switchable Out/Through. But that's not all! Also included are two 15 ft. high quality MIDI cables. Everything is less than a year old! How can you beat all this?!! Please direct all inquiries to me by email, by voice, or leave a message on the ol' answering machine. ============================================================================== Brian Yamanaka bty00298@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (312) 384-2061

Wait! There's more to add about the Roland, I forgot to mention that this unit is in STEREO. Instruments can be placed spatially between left and right or panned over time. WOW!! This adds realism and greater flexibility for creating whole new sounds. Don't forget I am willing to sell parts individually and prices are always negotiable.
